Some Bangkok hospitals publish lower package prices that are only for Thai nationals and foreigners living in Thailand. MedPark Hospital's colonoscopy package, for example, says “The price is exclusively for Thai nationals and expatriates residing in Thailand” (MedPark). We leave such prices out. The Bumrungrad surgical prices here come from a 2025 sheet hosted by an insurer, so ask the hospital for its current price.

How it works for a visitor
- Ask for a written quoteSend the clinic your referral or reason for the veneer and ask for an itemised price, the date, and what happens if the result needs follow-up.
- Before you goSend recent X-rays and photos, and get a written plan with the number of teeth, the material and the total price.
- Before you goRead the official travel advice for the country. The UK Foreign Office says dental procedures are among the most common treatments for medical tourists in Turkey.
- LanguageThai; the large Bangkok private hospitals work in English and many other languages.
- Entry rulesCheck the official advice for your passport before booking: UK citizens (FCDO entry requirements), Canadian citizens (travel.gc.ca), US citizens (State Department, choose the country), Irish citizens (DFA travel advice, choose the country).
- After you returnRegister with a dentist at home and give them the records and materials used. A chipped or loose veneer needs a dentist, at home prices.
Can your public system pay for it?
NHS and HSE schemes do not reach Thailand. The NHS S2 route covers state treatment in the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and the HSE schemes cover the EU, EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Treatment in Thailand is paid by you or by a private insurer who agrees in advance. NHS S2 route, HSE Treatment Abroad Scheme.
When not to travel for a veneer
- Gum disease or tooth decay that has not been treated yet.
- Heavy teeth grinding, until a dentist has assessed your bite.
- Healthy teeth you would only like whiter: ask a dentist about whitening first, because filing teeth down is permanent.
How to compare veneer quotes
A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain bonded to the front of a tooth to change its colour or shape. The tooth is usually filed down first, which cannot be undone. Composite veneers are built up in resin, cost less and wear faster. Prices are per tooth, so a smile makeover of 8 to 20 teeth multiplies the figure.
- Check the treatment plan says veneers, not crowns. A crown covers the whole tooth and needs much more of it removed.
- Compare the same material: porcelain or e.max against porcelain or e.max, not against composite.
- Ask whether the consultation, X-rays and smile design are in the price, and how much is paid up front.
- Ask what the guarantee covers and whether you must travel back to use it.

Veneers in Thailand: questions
How much does a veneer cost in Thailand?
The published prices we found range from ฿18,000, about £399 or $533. They come from Thantakit International Dental Center. Each covers something slightly different, so read what is included before comparing.
Is a veneer in Thailand cheaper than paying privately in the UK?
Before travel, the prices here work out at about £399, against about £850 at the UK providers we checked. Add a return flight and 6 nights in a hotel before deciding; the calculator on the home page does the sum.
Will the NHS or HSE pay for a veneer in Thailand?
No. The NHS S2 route and the HSE schemes cover planned treatment in Europe only. Thailand is outside them, so you pay yourself or through a private insurer that agrees in advance.
How many days should I plan in Thailand?
About a week at many clinics: preparing the teeth and fitting temporaries, a few days while the lab makes the veneers, then fitting and a bite check. Ask for the clinic’s schedule. That is our planning estimate, not medical advice: the clinic sets the schedule, and you should ask it for one in writing.
What should I check before booking a veneer in Thailand?
Check the treatment plan says veneers, not crowns. A crown covers the whole tooth and needs much more of it removed. Compare the same material: porcelain or e.max against porcelain or e.max, not against composite.
